Evidence to HM Treasury Consultation on the E-Money Directive

Comments on the UK’s proposed implementation of the EU E-Money Directive in which CHIS expresses grave reservations about the proposal to increase the scope of those prepaid credit cards which, in effect, can be used anonymously in ways which can harm children and young people. Reference is made to the illegal purchase of age restricted goods and services and to the purchase of child abuse images.
